Job Summary

The Retail Sales Associate (RSA) is the first point of contact for Museum retail store visitors and will be responsible for providing a positive, enjoyable learning experience for all visitors. The RSA is an integral member of our Museum team, responsible for day to day operations in The Shop.






Job Responsibilities

• 
  
• Must be able to work 24 hours per week on average (a few more in summer, a few less in winter).
  
• Demonstrate superior customer service both in person and on the phone.
  
• Conduct customer transactions/interactions in a professional manner.
  
• Help maintain a neat and clean Shop environment.
  
• Assist with the receiving, tagging, and stocking of merchandise.
  
• No set schedule. Must have the flexibility to work weekends and some evenings and holidays when needed.
  
• Manage multiple duties simultaneously and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  
  
  
  
  Education Requirements
  
  * High school diploma or GED/HSED is required.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  Experience Requirements
  
  
  • 
    
  • Two years of previous experience in a customer service or retail work environment.
    
  • Ability to understand and resolve visitor questions or issues while keeping the organization's goals in mind.
