As a reflection of our current needs and planned growth we are very
pleased to offer a new opportunity to join our dedicated team as a
Digital Analytics Engineer.
We are looking for a highly skilled Digital Analytics Engineer to
lead the tagging initiatives across multiple brands on our in-house
digital commerce platform. This role requires expertise in
building, extending, and utilizing frameworks (e.g., Google
Analytics) to accurately tag websites, while decoupling external
frameworks from our platform. You will play a key role in ensuring
that our tagging and tracking implementations meet business
objectives and adhere to strict compliance standards, including
those related to PHI and PII data. You will also work closely with
the legal department to ensure compliance with evolving data
privacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and extend tagging frameworks across various
brands within our digital commerce platform, ensuring robust
architecture that supports diverse data collection needs.
- Analyze and decouple external analytics frameworks (e.g.,
Google Analytics) from our core platform, focusing on creating a
flexible and scalable tagging infrastructure that enables seamless
data integration and manipulation.
- Assess and determine optimal scenarios for direct pushes to the
data layer, making data-driven decisions based on technical
specifications and business requirements to enhance data flow
efficiency.
- Engineer comprehensive data tagging methodologies that ensure
precise tracking of user interactions, conversions, and key
performance metrics, collaborating with product teams to align
tracking strategies with business goals.
- Establish and uphold stringent data collection and measurement
standards across all tracking mechanisms, ensuring that the tagging
architecture remains adaptable to accommodate future updates and
platform modifications.
- Implement foundational scientific principles for experiment
design, maintaining awareness of mediating variables and data
relationships to inform the analysis and interpretation of tracking
results.
- Engage with the legal department to ensure compliance with data
privacy regulations, including PHI and PII, and develop tagging and
tracking processes that prioritize data security and legal
adherence.
- Stay informed about evolving data protection regulations (e.g.,
GDPR, CCPA) and ensure that all tracking implementations are in
strict alignment with current legal standards.
- Provide technical expertise to identify and resolve tagging and
tracking issues, developing solutions to maintain data integrity
and compliance, and minimizing disruptions to data collection
processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert in tagging, tracking, and data
compliance for cross-functional teams, including engineering,
product management, and legal, facilitating knowledge sharing and
best practices across departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Systems,
Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with tagging frameworks and platforms like Google
Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of data collection methods, data
measurement, and the setup of controlled experiments.
- Experience working with data layers and knowledge of when
direct pushes to the data layer are required.
- Solid understanding of legal regulations related to PHI, PII,
and data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Familiarity with front-end development languages such as
JavaScript and CSS to assist in implementing tags and tracking
codes.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including
product managers, engineers, and legal teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and
an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear
and actionable way.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in eCommerce or digital platforms.
- Familiarity with customer data platforms (CDPs) and experience
managing user consent frameworks.
- Experience with tag management systems (e.g., Google Tag
Manager) is a plus.
