Electrical Engineer at Black & Veatch, you will help address some
of the world's most pressing infrastructure challenges. You will
have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects to meet
our clients' needs and contribute to the growth and success of
Black & Veatch.You will be assigned to a functional area in:
Substation, Transmission, Distribution, Power System Studies,
Renewables, Conventional Generation, Gas Fuels and Chemicals,
Nuclear, Mining, Water/Wastewater, Telecom/Electric Vehicle
Charging, or Data Centers.Responsibilities
- Understand departmental design guides, engineering codes,
standards, and company policies.
- Assist in producing less complex electrical engineering
deliverables like reports, drawings, specifications, and
limited-scope studies.
- Complete routine research and develop recommendations for
equipment and material selection.
- Collect, manage, and assimilate engineering data for
projects.
- Prepare fundamental power system analysis and electrical
component sizing calculations based on established engineering
principles.
- Adhere to budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Understand internal client needs and external client
interests.Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework and knowledge of Power Systems, Motors,
Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery, or Three Phase
Power Calculations.
- Previous internship experience.
- Basic knowledge of engineering design principles, design guides
and standards.
- Insights of industry trends and developing technologies.
- Fundamental knowledge of construction practices and
principles.
- Skilled in Problem Solving, Written Communication, Informing,
and Peer Relationships.Minimum QualificationsNo experience
required. Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
from either a recognized accredited program in their home country
or the country in which the professional is practicing.All
applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding

vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and
regulations.Professionals located near a Black & Veatch office have
the option of a hybrid work model that offers a balance between
working together in person and the flexibility of remote work. Our
hybrid work model means you will work three days in the office and
two days from another location.Salary PlanIn accordance with local
law, the following Annual compensation range is applicable for the
job and location associated with this requisition: $85,690.00 -
