Sentry Insurance is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in our Middleton, WI office location. The Senior Software Engineer leads and provides in-depth input into the identification and development of insurance business applications.

Contribute: You'll work in a full-stack, cloud-first, development environment where you'll have the chance to work in many industry-leading technologies. Lead the development, implementation, and enhancement of new and existing client and server-side applications based on in-depth insurance domain and product knowledge.
Develop audit testing procedures, debugging procedures, and coordination with other Information Technology personnel to communicate information to facilitate compatibility of all systems throughout Sentry.
Respond to application production problems by analyzing the problem, formulating a solution, and changing or repairing the applications to avoid costly interruption of services to users.
Ensure continuous operations of existing applications.
Ensure complete and accurate documentation of applications.
Review and recommend changes to code updates that are introduced into the applications.

What it Takes:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive computer programming experience.

As part of the 5 years of progressive computer programming experience required, the individual must have:
-JSP, Servlets, Spring, Spring Boot, JDBC, JPA (JPQL), Hibernate, jQuery, Javascript and SOAP and REST Web Services.
-4 years of experience with SQL Server, SQL and stored procedures.
