seeking a TS/SCI cleared full-time Technical Editor to support our
intelligence customer located at the Pentagon. ***This is a
pipeline position and not an immediate opening***Schedule: Day/ M-F
(1100 - 1900)Anticipated Salary Range: $105,000 -
$115,000ResponsibilitiesDuties will include:
- Responsible for reviewing and revising intelligence or
communication products and other documents prepared by DoD analysts
for publication into the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
(CJCS)/Secretary of Defense's Intelligence Update.
- Work with primary authors to edit/rewrite products for
organization, grammar, style, accuracy, consistency of technical
data, etc.
- Advise management and analysts with expert technical knowledge
of the DIA Style Guide.
- At the discretion of the Division Chief, editor is assigned to
support crisis management operations, edit desk notes for the
senior leaders, and review products for dissemination to partner
services.
- Ability to operate on short timelines, flexibility, and
excellent oral and written communication skills are a
must.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in producing all-source intelligence
analysis and managing the production of analysis products.
- 3+ years of experience as a technical editor in an IC
organization.
- Ability to apply IC analytic standards and analytic tradecraft
standards as defined in the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism
Prevention Act, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) 203
Analytic Standards and ICD 206 Sourcing Requirements to the
production of all-source intelligence products.
- Ability to support shift work (1100 - 1900).
- TS/SCI clearance; w/CI Poly or willingness to take a polygraph
exam.
- HS diploma or GED and 7+ years of relevant experience or
bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.Clearance:
TS/SCIMental Requirements: Must be able to multi-task and rapidly
change priorities with limited notice.Physical Requirements: Must
be able to sit/stand at a desk for long periods and must be able to
lift 20 pounds occasionally.Preferred Qualifications:
- Possession of excellent organizational and analytical
skills.
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication
