Description: Summary:The Director of Youth and Young Adults will
collaborate with the Senior Director of Church Development and
Evangelism and the Serve Locally team to develop and oversee
discipleship strategies and resources for the facilitation of
spiritual growth initiatives for Youth and Young Adult ministry
teams with Covenant churches and ministry partners across the
globe. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:---
Mobilizing youth and young adult discipleship leaders in every
regional conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church.---
Mentoring and coaching Evangelical Covenant Church pastors and
leaders in discipleship for youth and young adults.--- Training and
equipping youth and young adult leaders to facilitate discipleship
leader cohorts and other teaching/learning experiences.---
Sponsoring ministry events and network opportunities.---
Developing, curating, and providing relevant discipleship resources
and curriculum.--- Planning and facilitating training, equipping,
and resourcing events (e.g., in-person, virtual events, online
presence, etc.)In all of these, both internal collaboration with
Serve Locally mission areas, as well as external collaboration with
conferences and local churches, is critical to ensure successful
ministry outcomes.Essential Functions:
Discipleship Strategies and Resources--- Represent, champion, and
advocate for the importance of youth and young adult ministry in
the Evangelical Covenant denominational office, regional
conferences, and local churches.--- Maintain a strong understanding
of the current pulse of youth and young adult ministry through
research and conference and church connections.--- Promote
partnership between parents, intergenerational ministry, and
developing youth ministry strategies.--- Advocate for equity,
diversity and ethnic/racial representation aimed at advancing the
multi-ethnic mosaic in children and family ministry.--- Shepherd,
curate and coordinate age-appropriate discipleship resources
including campaigns, resources suites, curriculum, digital events,
and more.--- Coordinate training and support for youth and young
adult ministry leaders, including volunteer and bi-vocational
leaders.--- Support mobilization and resourcing for youth and young
adult leaders in how to practically embrace and serve the youth who
live in the community surrounding the church.--- Promote resourcing
and support for parents.Collaboration - Collaborate with and
support the Executive Minister of Serve Locally on
denomination-wide youth and young adult discipleship
initiatives.--- Collaborate with the Director of Children and
Family Ministry to create a coordinated pathway/vision for
transitioning from children's ministry to youth ministry.---
Connect and collaborate with other Serve Locally staff, mission
priorities and departments in the Evangelical Covenant Church.---
Cultivate and strengthen partnerships between the denomination and
conference teams.--- Develop and grow partnerships with youth
ministry organizations outside of the Evangelical Covenant
Church.Events--- Contribute to the planning of The Evangelical
Covenant Church events, such as: the BLESS Conference, UNITE,
NextGen, Midwinter and Gather (Annual Meeting) for youth and young
and adult discipleship to be interwoven into offerings.---
Represent the Evangelical Covenant Church at national youth and
young adult ministry events and conferences.--- Produce youth and
young adult ministry events, experiences, and networking
opportunities.Administration--- Monitor, measure, and report on the
effectiveness of youth and young adult resources, programming, and
events.--- Oversee and coordinate ministry communications through
newsletters, social media, and CovChurch Now.--- Manage the youth
and young adult ministry budgets.--- Oversee management of the
youth ministry leadership database.Other duties as assigned by
Senior Director of Church Development and Evangelism.
Requirements: Qualifications:Candidates will possess and apply

problems.Education and Experience:Required: Master's degree in
Divinity, Discipleship, Christian Formation or Theology. A minimum
engagement of five (5) years in the Evangelical Covenant Church
(ECC) and a minimum of 5 years of functioning in ministry
positions, to include experience in conference level activities.
Credentialed in the Covenant, or willing to be credentialed in the
Covenant.Environmental Conditions:Must be able to work in remote
locations with corresponding applications and connections, in
accordance with personnel policies. Willingness to travel across
North America and internationally, approximately 30-40% of work
time. Must be versatile and able to work for prolonged segments
sitting/standing and on a computer. Must engage frequently with
office tools and equipment, such as: computer, copier, phone,
web-conferencing equipment, cell communication, printers, etc. Must
be able to occasionally lift or move items, less than 35 lbs.
Compensation details: 80000-90000 Yearly Salary
