Volt is immediately hiring for a Senior Applications Engineer in Franklin, WI. You will work with engineering teams at North America's leading manufacturer and provider of the finest high precision machining centers with a focus on 5-axis machining centers.

Direct Hire, Salary $90,000 - 150,000 *



As a Sr. Applications Engineer you will:

Perform time studies, test cuts, and machine demonstrations
Program multi-axis applications utilizing CAM-systems
Review technical feasibility of RFQs and turnkey projects
Develop leading machining processes
Provide application support in-house and at customer site
Provide technical sales support at tradeshows and open house events
Provide customer production analysis and support as well as applications training
Travel to client sites to complete equipment trainings and programming exercises. Travel yearly to Germany for training! Travel to IMTS and other trade shows.





This is a Full Time, Direct Hire opportunity.




The ideal candidate will have:

Profound knowledge in the field of 5-axis machining
BS Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.
8-10 years' experience in machining, programming, and processing of complex parts
Control knowledge of Heidenhain / Siemens is preferred. Other controls programs are OK.
Experience in CAD/CAM software is a must
Good written and spoken English skills
Teamwork and high level of performance. The Sr. level will help train Jr level engineers. You will also regularly work with customers.
Ability to travel to train team at client sites, attend IMTS, and also to attend trainings in Germany once a year!



Travel Perk: Company credit card, Daily per diem when traveling.



Salary: $90,000 - 150,000
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
