About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team at Bethany Home. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records, back up accounts payable, billing and reconciling bank statements. Your attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data will be crucial in this role. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.Minimum Qualifications:

• Prefer Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the long term / medical industry
  • Experience with managing accounts for multiple entitiesResponsibilities:
    • Performing daily accounting tasks such as accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and ACH
    • Maintaining accurate and complete financial records
    • Preparing financial reports and statements
    • Assisting with audits
    • Collaborating with the management team to ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policiesSkills:As an Accounting Specialist, you will use your expertise in accounting principles and practices to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records. You will utilize your analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data. Your proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software will be essential in performing daily accounting tasks such as back up accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and ACH. Additionally, your ability to collaborate with the management team and communicate effectively will be crucial in ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
